Early life :
Rannvijay’s father is an army officer with the Indian Army, making Rannvijay’s six generation male ancestors to be directly related to the Indian Army.He changed nine schools, as his father’s transfers of service in the army required the family to keep on moving to different places within India, even as he did a major part of his schooling from a boarding school. He attended the Army Public School in New Delhi and graduated from Hans Raj College,Delhi University.

Apart from hosting
all the 14 seasons starting season2 of MTV Roadies , Ranvijay Singh has hosted shows like MTV Stuntmania, MTV Teen Diva and MTV The
Fast and The Furious. Rannvijay Singh was also a part of the MTV show Rann VJ Run in
which he is supposed to go to 10 different locations in the world and
try different types of extreme sports.
Debut film in Bollywood was
Toss: A Flip of Destiny which hit the screens in 2009 August.
Rannvijay Singh has also acted in Action Replay, London Dreams .
The year in which he made debut punjabi film : 2011
He has also worked
in the commercial for Reliance which was aired in April 2012, opposite
Anushka Sharma and was involved in the entire ad campaign of Reliance in
the year 2012.
He worked for Pond’s for the launch of their UV cream, in
which he hosted the paintball competition in Delhi, which was part of
the Fun in the sun campaign of the company.
His first major business
venture was –Rock sport Challenge for which he partnered with Great
Rocksport Pvt Ltd which introduced Lifestyle adventure running that
brings individuals closer to nature.
Currently Rannvijay Singh also host MTV Splitsvilla with co-host Sunny Leone .
